Three failing roofs redone for housing association in Akaa
.jpg)
A check of the structure on these three buildings revealed that the old PVC material had lost its bond to underlying layers of the roof and was allowing water through in many locations. Some low-lying areas had been raised using foam which had become entirely saturated with water.
The failed top layer of roofing was torn off on all three buildings and disposed of along with edge metal and chimney covers. The underlying roof was then repaired, and one-way vents were added to each building in order to allow moisture from old leaks to ventilate. Each roof was coated in turn, and new metal was installed at the roof edges and chimneys.
