2 low slope roofs renovated in Valkeakoski

Our inspection of these roofs revealed blistering in several places and seams splitting, particularly around penetrations and the edges. The roofs did not have any original hard points for attaching safety lines. To remedy these issues, we provided a proposal to renovate the roof with the Lava 20 system, adding granules to the top layer for slip prevention.

After thoroughly cleaning the roof, multiple hard points were installed at the ridgeline to make tying off safer and easier. 

To prepare the roof surface for coating, blistered material was resecured and Lava Detail 20 - a fabric reinforced coating - was used to seal the loosening seams at the roof edges.

After handling all the prep work, the roof was primed and Lava 20 with embedded fiberglass matting was installed across the roof surface.

A final, thin layer of coating was then applied and granules were broadcast into the wet coating to provide the desired ant-slip finish.

With the work finished, these roofs now carried a 5 year workmanship warranty from TopCoat and a 25 year material warranty from the manufacturer. Future work on the roof surface will be safer due to the added hard points and anti-slip finish.
